Cookie policy

This notice applies to the marketing website https://cervio.app. The Site allows you to browse informational content and request a product demo via the dedicated form.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites store on the user's device to enable the site to function correctly, remember preferences, or collect statistical information.

Alongside cookies, other tracking technologies exist (e.g. local storage, pixels, fingerprinting) that perform similar functions. In what follows, the term "cookie" is used broadly to include all such tools.

2. Types of cookies

Cookies are classified by function, duration, and the party that installs them.

By function

• Technical cookies: necessary for the Site to work correctly (e.g. language preference, security, content delivery). They do not require consent.
• Analytics cookies: collect information on Site usage. If properly anonymised and non-profiling, they may be treated like technical cookies; otherwise consent is required.
• Profiling and marketing cookies: track user browsing to build profiles and show personalised advertising. They require explicit consent.

By duration

• Session cookies: deleted when the browser is closed.
• Persistent cookies: remain stored until expiry or manual deletion.

By party

• First-party cookies: installed directly by cervio.app.
• Third-party cookies: installed by domains other than cervio.app.

3. Cookies used by the Site

3.1 Technical cookies (always active)

• NEXT_LOCALE. Provider: cervio.app. Purpose: storing language preference (IT/EN). Duration: up to 1 year.
• cervio-consent. Provider: cervio.app. Purpose: storing preferences expressed via the cookie banner. Duration: 6 months.
• Hosting/proxy technical cookies. Provider: self-managed infrastructure on Hetzner (Coolify/Traefik), EU data centre. Purpose: request routing, security, and load balancing. Duration: mostly session.

Demo request form submission is handled server-side on the Site's self-hosted infrastructure (Hetzner/Coolify, EU data centre): it does not install additional cookies in visitors' browsers.

These cookies are necessary for the Site to function and do not require user consent (except cervio-consent, which stores a choice already made by the user).

3.2 Analytics cookies

The Site does not currently use traffic analytics tools that rely on cookies (neither Google Analytics nor other profiling trackers). Server technical logs or infrastructure metrics from the hosting provider may process data in aggregated, non-identifying form.

Note: if non-technical analytics tools are enabled in future, this policy will be updated and, where required by law, explicit consent will be requested before they are used.

3.3 Profiling and marketing cookies

The Site does not use profiling or marketing cookies, nor third-party cookies for advertising purposes.

3.4 Third-party cookies and tracking (Google Calendar)

When booking a demo via the Google Calendar link, the user leaves the cervio.app domain and accesses calendar.app.google, operated by Google LLC. Google may install cookies and use tracking technologies on its own domain, regardless of preferences expressed on the Site's cookie banner. For details, please refer to Google's privacy policy and cookie policy. Cervio does not install additional cookies in the browser solely because the booking link is opened.

4. Managing cookie preferences

4.1 Cookie banner

On first visit to the Site, a banner appears at the bottom right allowing you to accept all cookies, limit to necessary cookies only, or customise your choices. Preferences are stored in the cervio-consent cookie.

You can change your preferences at any time via the "Manage cookies" link in the Site footer.

4.2 Browser settings

You can configure your browser to accept, reject, or delete cookies:

Under Articles 15-22 of the GDPR, the user has the right to access, rectify, and erase their data, object to processing, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
